Cracked concrete steps and a spalling porch date a house instantly. We rebuild entrances with solid paver step units or natural-stone treads, and we overlay sound concrete porches with slabs and coping for a new look without demolition.
Two ways to fix an old porch
If the concrete underneath is solid, we overlay it: thin pavers or porcelain slabs on the landing, with bullnose coping on the edges and matching risers. If it is crumbling, we remove it and build new steps from full-depth step units (Unilock Ledgestone, Permacon Melville steps) on a compacted base.
Safe and code-friendly
We keep risers consistent (typically 6 to 7 inches) and treads deep enough for winter boots, and we can integrate railings, lighting and planters.
