Interlocking in Burlington

Patios, walkways and retaining walls for Burlington, from the escarpment lots of Tyandaga to the lakefront streets of Roseland.

Patios, walkways & driveways in Burlington

Burlington runs from the lake to the escarpment, and the hardscape changes with it. Roseland and Shoreacres have established homes with mature trees where we build natural-stone entrances and back patios around root zones. Tyandaga and the escarpment side have slope, so we terrace with retaining walls. Millcroft, Alton Village and Orchard are newer family neighbourhoods where a patio and a walk finish the yard.

Halton clay holds water, so every Burlington base is geotextile-lined, full depth and compacted in lifts, with slope to a drain.

Slope, trees and clay

On the escarpment side a backyard can drop 4 feet. We build two patio levels with a segmental wall and steps between them, with drain pipe and clear stone behind the wall so it never bulges.

In Roseland and Shoreacres the constraint is trees: we hand-dig near major roots and curve walkways around them instead of cutting.

Serving Aldershot, Roseland, Shoreacres, Tyandaga, Millcroft, Alton Village, Orchard, Headon Forest, Brant Hills, Palmer and Downtown Burlington.
