Patios, walkways & driveways in Markham
Markham backyards are mostly flat and rectangular, which makes them ideal for a clean patio layout: a large-format slab field, a contrasting border, and a seating wall or planter to give it shape. In Cornell and Wismer the lots are tighter, so we design compact patios that still fit a dining set and a grill.
Front-yard work is common in Milliken, Markville and Thornlea, where 1980s and 90s concrete walks are cracking and driveways are due for a refresh. A paver walk, landing and driveway border is the standard Markham upgrade.

Heritage and new-build, same standards
In Unionville and Old Markham we match the character of the street: tumbled or cobble-look pavers, natural-stone steps, and walls that look like they were always there. In Berczy and Cornell we lean modern: 24 by 24 slabs, tight joints and linear borders.
Either way the base is the same: excavation to a compacted, geotextile-lined granular base, because Markham sits on the same clay as Thornhill and Vaughan and that clay heaves every winter.
