The walkway is the first thing a visitor touches. We build front walks, side-yard paths and garden trails with the same compacted base as a driveway, so they don't dip and pool water after two winters.
Built for foot traffic and snow shovels
Walkways take a beating from shovels and salt. We use 60 mm pavers on a 6-inch compacted base and a polymeric-sand joint so there are no lips for a shovel blade to catch and no gaps for weeds.
We slope every walkway a minimum of 1 to 2% to shed water away from the foundation, and we tie the walk into your steps and driveway with clean, aligned cuts.
Design options
Straight formal walks with a contrasting border, gentle curves through a garden, or wide modern slab walks. Matching the walkway pattern to your driveway or porch ties the whole front yard together.
